Peppermint Loungewear set in gingham seersucker
In all these years of making things, one thing i’ve always slightly neglected is scruffing around at home clothes, aka loungewear. But since now all we basically do is scruff around at home I’ve decided tro remedy that.
The fabric for this project was gifted by Minerva, and I’ll write a blog post for them in return soon. So just the facts here.
Pattern: Peppermint Loungewear set by Common stitch
Size: E for the top, F for the bottom
Fabric: Gingham seersucker in Cerise, from Minerva (fabric gifted in return for a blog post on their website)
Modifications: I did a two inch full seat adjustment to the trousers. Otherwise all as drafted.
Instructions: all clear and logical. I didn’t bother with the neck facing and finished with bias binding instead. I also finished all the edges before sewing it together, and did all french seams in the top. I kind of hated attaching the elastic direclyly to the trousers, having only made trousers witn a casing for the elastic before, and was worried I wouldn’t manage to stretch it out evenly. It looks fine in the end though.
Making another: already cut out and half sewn together!
