Peppermint loungewear set in Atelier Brunette lawn
Hot on the heels of the other Peppermint Loungewear set, I made another. Now I can alternate them, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. It makes a difference from old joggy bottoms full of holes! It’s unfortunately too cold for me to wear these by themselves jusrt now, so I’ve been layering long sleeved tees under the top, and often a sweatshirt on top (in fact that’s what I’m wearing as I type this), which does somewhat ruin the pulled together look.
Anyway, on with the details
Pattern: Peppermint Loungewear Set, designed by Common Stitch
Size: E for top, F for bottom
Fabric: Atelier Brunette Lawn, gifted by Minerva in exchange for a post on their new site. I’s actually never seen this design before, it’s not one of the standard one, but I love it. It’s tiny trianges, and I think the colours make this seem Christmassy. It’s a decent weight but due to the light colour it’s still a bit see through. You’d definitely need to line it if using for something seen by the public.
Modifications: 2 inch full seat adjustment as I always do, and I finished the neckline with bias binding instead of a facing
Instructions: Even though this was my second time using this pattern, I had an absolute nightmare attaching the elastic to the waistband, worse than the first time! It just seems a weird way of doing it, I wish I’d used narrower elastic and just made a waistband casing instead, it would look tidier on the inside.
That’s probably me with this pattern, I don’t really need more than two pairs of pyjamas. But I may revisit in the summer, a version suitable for wearing out might be fun!
