Elizabeth Suzanne Made by Me Georgia Tee with matching tote bag
Another make for the new year! I actually cut this out in 2023, because I got some 'made in 2023' bias tape as part of my sewing friends secrets Santa. Unfortunately I've managed to lose it before I even got that far - I suspect it ended up in the fabric recycling bag by mistake. In any case, I didn't get round to actually sewing it until 2024.
This pattern, the Elizabeth Suzann Georgia tee, is becoming a firm favourite, I've made five now. It uses so little fabric and it's easy to fully French seam.
The fabric is some block print cotton I got from an instagram destash, I think actually the same one as the flannel from the Samford bottoms the other day. It seems to be a massive repeat, if it is a repeat at all, the triangles are arranged in an irregular way
There was quite a lot of fabric left, so I decided to make a tote with the rest, turns out there was the perfect amount for that! I just based the measurements on one of the ones we already had. I'm not a massive tote bag user since I cycle so much so my main bag is a rucksack, but I enjoyed swanning about with a matching bag for my top.
