Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mainly post about my sewing projects, as I’m building a colourful and comfortable everyday wardrobe suitable for a working mum of primary school children. I really love African wax fabric, so that features heavily. I also occassionally post about family life in Edinburgh and travel. Hope you have a nice stay!

2019 Makes

2019 Makes

I made 26 things in 2019 (or more if you count the various socks, hats and wiggle bags separately), I thought I’d do a roundup here and link to the relevant blog posts!

I’m really pleased with what I made! pretty much everything has ended up in regular rotation. Long sleeves, oversized and casual is my thing!

So:

Oh and some DIY Halloween ghost costumes for the boys!

I have many plans for 2020, but given how crap I am at actually following through, I’ve decided not to do #makenine, a year is just too long to plan ahead. I’ve decided to to the #make3in3 hashtag which my friend Amy Craft and Thrift has come up with. You choose three for three months and then reassess. My first three projects are the Deer and Doe Opium Coat, the Friday Pattern Company Wldergown and the Sewhouse 7 Toaster. Though so far all I’ve done is sew a cushion cover!
