Silk Noil Athina Top
I made three of these Tessuti Athina tops recently, this is the second.
It’s inspired (copied) from Hannah @heritageninja who made a dusty pink silk noil version. Its really simple, and even though it’s dartless it works well. I finished this one really nicely, with faux felled seams, and I’ve worn it tons.
The fabric is from ebay, it was labelled red/teal, and before I washed it, it was much more recognisably these colours. You can still see the weft and the weave (terminology?) in the two different colours. Washing it shrunk it and made it more purple. I like it either way! I hadnt been aware of silk noil as a fabric before, but I love it and would love to sew with it more. Unfortunately its really only available in this colour and neutral/cream, unless you ship from Canada, which I’m not quite bothered enough for.
Hopefully I can get proper pictures of the other two versions as well soon.
