Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mainly post about my sewing projects, as I’m building a colourful and comfortable everyday wardrobe suitable for a working mum of primary school children. I really love African wax fabric, so that features heavily. I also occassionally post about family life in Edinburgh and travel. Hope you have a nice stay!

Mini Hudson Pyjama bottoms

Mini Hudson Pyjama bottoms

I made more True Bias Mini Hudsons for the boys, this time in a jersey as pyjamas. Both boys have grown, Milo to the top end of the size range, so I will have to find another pattern soon - or they’ll just have to wear shop bought.

Details of the make below as always.

Ellis, a six year old boy, wears black joggy bottoms with ghosts and stars on, with a red school poloshirt and navy school jumper

Pattern: True Bias Mini Hudsons, view A - the full length view

Size: 8 for Ellis (who is 6) and 10 for Milo (who is 9)

Fabric: Cotton jersey from the Koala Kreations sale. Ellis’ has a ghost deisgn, Milo’s a racooon design. I used 1 metre of each

Ajustments: as with previous pairs, I extended the length of the ankle band by about 3 cms, to mak up for the lower stretch of the fabric. I also omitted the drawstring in the waistband, and top stitched the elastic to the waistband

That’s all!
