Marilla Walker Roberts dungaree dress in mustard cord
I made another Marilla Roberts dress! It’s exactly the same as the first one I made, in a thinner and slightly stretchy cord (also from Edinburgh Fabrics). I love this colour, and am slowly adding more of it to my wardrobe!
Because of the stretch I managed to slightly overstretch the hem, but I don’t think it’s too noticeable. I also had a bit of a nightmare with the poppers, I had to replace a bit of one before I’d even worn it! It struggles to get through all the layers of fabric – and on this version that’s not even that much! I wonder if there are more industrial poppers I could be using instead. Or maybe I should just go for Lucy and Yak style ties next time.
Here I’m wearing my new (to me) cape coat from the blogger swap. I’ve not actually worn it as often as I thought I would, because my bag is amost always a rucksack and capes and rucksacks are not compatible. But when I do wear it makes me feel quite fancy, it’s a lovely soft wool fabric.
Not that it looks very elegant here because it was SO.WINDY. I had to take so many pictures because in about 80% of them my hair or the skirt bit or the camera strap was blowing about in a ridiculous way. But I got a few in the end!
