Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mainly post about my sewing projects, as I’m building a colourful and comfortable everyday wardrobe suitable for a working mum of primary school children. I really love African wax fabric, so that features heavily. I also occassionally post about family life in Edinburgh and travel. Hope you have a nice stay!

Climb Every Mountain sweater in Malabrigo Arroyo

Climb Every Mountain sweater in Malabrigo Arroyo

I finished a bit of knitting! I am the world slowest knitter, mainly, because I knit for the process not the product (sewing people complaining about knitting taking ages are so strange to me - the point of knitting a jumper is not to have a jumper?), but I guess even the slowest tortoise will eventually finish the race (Is that a phrase? I don’t think it is).

Anyway, this is another Climb Every Mountain jumper, pattern by Heidi Kirrmaier. I’ve made this before and I love it so decided to make another. For yarn, I used Malabrigo Arroyo, the shade is called Matisse blue. I made the size M again, but it’s ended up quite a bit bigger than my previous version, I guess yarn and tension differences. I never block my swatches, so they’re pretty much pointless. I could maybe go down to a S, though I like it big like that as well.

Not that I will make another, giving another pattern a shot at the moment. You’ll see in about six months I guess.
