A primary coloured autumn outfit
If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed that I’ve been sponsored by Boden for the last 5 (6?) months, which means iI get to choose my favourite peices every month. It’s absolutely brilliant, the stuff looks great and is good quality, and as a company they’ve got god ethical principles. I don’t usually blog the outfits, because I sort of feel I don’t have more to say about them than can fit in an instagam caption, but I will make an exception for this because (1) this coat is my favourite piece I’ve picked so far and (2) I love the pictures.
The coat is a herringbone tweed, and it’s just lovely! But, being green, it’s actually really hard to photograph. The colour is so rich in real life but always looks a bit flat in photos. Which is why, event though I took some pictures with the phone when I first got it, I took out the big camera to take some more, to get a bit closer to the true colour (the last picture is the most accurate). I’m glad I waited to do this, because this weekend has been the most beautiful stereotypical autumn weather, crisp and sunny. And I found a very leafy spot in the former blind school site - I’m going to miss it so much once they start building in it!
I also love this outfit as a whole with all the bright saturated colours! It reminds me of what I used to wear back in the wardrobe remix days. So, here’s the details in that style:
Coat - Boden, gifted
jumper - I made it, blogged here
skirt - also Boden, gifted previously
tights - H&M, many years ago
shoes - Clarks
If anyone is interested, I also have a 20% off all Boden link. It sometimes gets deactivated at the end of the month and then gets reactivated around the 10th. So if it doesn’t work you’ll know why! If you like, if it doesn’t work you can email me or send me a message and I can let you know once it works again!
